Camping

We went to Zion's this week and camped, it was so much fun, but a lot of work. I didn't realize how much stress it is having kids in the outdoors. We stayed in a tent and it was pretty cold at night, I was so paranoid that the kids were going to freeze, so I bundled them up. I woke up in the middle of the night and reached over to see if Dylan was cold and he was sweating. I guess I am one of those worried moms. We took our bikes and our bike trailer and rode through Zions. They had some pretty cool little trails so that we didn't have to ride on the road. It was so much fun, I think on Thursday we rode 15 miles. Some of the littlest hills were pretty tough, thank god for those easy gears. Jaxon kept saying at night when it was cold and there was really no where to go to get out of the cold he was like "lets go home." It was kinda sad, but I know that they will love it when they are a little older. Some day we want to get us a trailer, so we dont have to completely rough it. I am kinda a wimp when it comes to being cold and dirty.

Our New Exercise

I have been trying to exercise to get in better shape, so we got a bike and a trailer that converts into a stroller. It is so fun and its so easy to pull and the kids love it. so I have been trying to take them but lately it has been so windy and its hard to ride a bike and pull that in the wind. There are so many great trails around here, so we don't have to ride in the traffic. I think it will be so much fun when the kids can ride their own bikes and we can all go riding the trails and up in Zion's. That is what I love about living here, there are so many things that are within such a close range.

The Kite Festival

Today we went to The Kite Festival, when we got there it was so busy, I had no idea that it was such a big thing. It was perfect weather for flying kites, windy as hell, but we survived. It was so exciting for the kids, they had so many of these blow up slides and things that was a lot of fun for all the kids. Our kids were a little small, but there was one that was more for smaller kids. It was kind of big if you can tell from the pictures, but Jaxon loved it he just kept going down it over and over again. It's so exciting to see your kids have fun. Dylan just likes to get out and wander around and explore and eat, he is such a little pig.

So my two boys love to be outside, they would be out there all day if I would let them. They are such boys, and they love to do everything their dad and grandpa does. They are constantly digging, hauling dirt, mowing, and playing out side it is so cute. I just love being a boys mom.

Jaxon teaches Dylan just how it is done, and of course Dylan just does everything he does.

The Shower

Jaxon has recently discovered that he now wants to take showers. He was so excited, he just stood in there and stompped and laughed. It was so cute.

The life of little boys

Call me crazy, but I don't know if I am being a little less understanding, but my boys are constantly eating. I want to give them snacks if they are hungry but I don't want to create little chunky monsters. It wouldn't be a normal day if there wasn't a chair in the pantry, and when Jaxon gets a little treat he always gives Dylan some, I guess I should give him kudos for sharing. I never had any brothers so I don't know if it is normal for boys or what.
